For what it's worth, I'm still a fan of bnodes (despite a year+ at Talis :)

For the purposes of signing, might it not be possible to generate a
??? scheme URI based on a hash of the immediate properties hanging off
it? Might not work 100% if there are lots of bnode-bnode chains (I
don't think CBDs or molecules would help much in practice, too much
graph crawling needed), but might just be adequate in most cases.
