Semantic Web Summer Internship

 

A summer research internship for 2007 (10-12 weeks) is available at the
Xerox Research Center, Webster, in the area of semantic technologies
applied to digital publishing. The successful candidate will have an
opportunity to help formulate and test novel technology concepts in this
emerging area, as well as participate in architecture/conceptual design
activities.

Please include a resume and a cover email highlighting relevant
coursework and experience.

 

Qualifications: the position is open to either graduate students in
computer science or senior undergraduates with the required background.
A solid understanding of basic concepts in data structures and
algorithms is necessary. In addition, the candidate must have some
previous programming experience with XML and databases. Experience with
a Web scripting language, such as PHP or Ruby, and some familiarity with
Semantic Web concepts is a plus. Students from other engineering and
science discipline with the relevant computer science experience will
also be considered.
