ANNOUNCEMENT: rdf2owlxml 0.2

ANNOUNCEMENT: rdf2owlxml 0.2 publicly released

rdf2owlxml [1] converts OWL ontologies from RDF/XML-serialisation [2]
into the OWL/XML Presentation Syntax [3]. It is actually not much more
but a light-weight wrapper around KAON2 [4].

The OWL/XML Presentation Syntax [3] has some advantages compared to the
standard RDF/XML-serialisation, like an easier further processing with
standard XML techniques like the XSL-family of standards, XQuery and
many more. Hopefully, by providing this converter, it will foster some
new developments like an XSL-Transformer of OWL Ontologies into SVG or
XHTML or such pretty cool stuff, that has not been achievable easy with
the usual RDF/XML-serialised ontologies.

This is the first public release, so don't you may still stumble over
some technical details. Feedback is highly welcomed to
denny@aifb.uni-karlsruhe.de

rdf2owlxml is totally based on the implementation of the ontolgy im- and
exporter implented in KAON2 [4] by Boris Motik of the FZI [5].
rdf2owlxml is developed by Denny Vrandecic of the AIFB [6] of the
University of Karlsruhe.

Enjoy!
