The W3C XML Schema Patterns for Databinding Working Group 
recorded this issue at [1]
and fixed it in the latest editor's drafts [2].

Unless you let us know otherwise within 2 weeks, 
we'll assume you agree with the resolution of this issue.

"This specification provides a set of [XML Schema 1.0] patterns in 
common use, but which are known to casue issues with state of the art 
databinding implementations."
