I have updated the XML Signature Best Practices editors draft as follows:

1. Added new best practice for HMAC truncation, with minor edits to proposal distributed by Hal. Added new informative reference.

2. Restructured to put all Implementation/Application/Sign-Verify best practices in separate sections

3. Indicate target (Implementer/Application/Signer/Verifier) in each practice statement

4. Updated diff and status section

5. validation and link correctness updates

Please review and indicate any comment or concerns:

redline <http://www.w3.org/2008/xmlsec/Drafts/best-practices/Overview-pub-diff.html>

I think the next step will be to publish as a W3C Note.
