The only example in the WSS Examples document (http://docs.oasis-open.org/ws-sx/security-policy/examples/ws-sp-usecases-examples-cs-02.pdf) which includes an xsi:type is in section 2.3.2.3. I does contain a signature and an id reference invoked by a URI fragment, but it is not a WSS security signature. It is the Issuer's signature in a SAML Assertion. I am not sure this is suitable for a negative example or not. Hal
