Yes horizontal scroll bars are displayed, but there are two problems  
with this

1. It is a pain to scroll horizontally when it is very long and keep  
track of things
2. printing does not work properly

However, I agree that we probably do not want to change the source  
test files.

Thus the XInclude processing in the test document XML file should  
ideally pretty-print so that line breaks work properly in the  
generated XML (and then after the build, HTML) document. Perhaps  
someone has suggestions on how to do this?

If not probably should treat as lower priority and not block other  
work on it.
