Output of p:validate-xml-schema

Dear,

We say everywhere that what flows between steps is Infosets

But for p:validate-xml-schema, there is a reference to PSVI
annotations (please add a reference) "if the pipeline implementation
supports such annotations"

Can we in the current spec, reference such "if"/"may" such that we can
have a summary of what the spec suggest as extended implementation
