In 5.7.1.3 Assigning Values to Options, and 5.7.2 p:parameter Element, a 
reference to the general rules about establishing the XPath context (in 
2.8) would be useful. Some of the description could then be removed.

5.7.3 Option and Parameter Namespace Bindings should be amalgamated with 
the relevant part of 2.8. It would be good to mention the possibility of 
option/parameter values coming from a (configuration) document, and to 
suggest that implementations use the namespaces from that document. (In 
other words, if the select expression actually selects a *node*, then 
the in-scope namespaces from that node should be used.)
