p:exec - quote characters

"The single args option is treated as a series of whitespace-separated
values. Values which contain spaces may be quoted with either single (')
or double (") quotes. A literal quote character may be inserted by
doubling it."

What about a single quote character in double quotes (and vice versa)?
Do I need to quote it, too?
