I think the existence of RFC 5147 makes the constraint that @xpointer
must not be present when parse="text" inappropriate. I suggest we
remove that constraint.

I also think that someone (he says, aware that it probably constitutes
volunteering) should register a text() XPointer scheme that implements
RFC 5147.
