Regarding XML Core WG agenda item on Associating stylesheets

Reagrding the following LONG standing item on our agenda:

> 9. Associating stylesheets--awaiting TAG action.
>
> Henry reports that the HTML CG has been discussing this
> for a while. They are developing a draft statement of
> the issue, and Chris Lilley will raise this at the XML CG.
>
> Chris started the discussion on the XML CG list--see
> http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Member/w3c-xml-cg/2005Jul/thread.html#15
> The XML CG will continue to discuss it for a while.

the minutes of last week's XML CG telcon (which I missed) at
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Member/w3c-xml-cg/2007Mar/0030
indicate:

> 5 Stylesheet PI
>
> Reference: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Member/w3c-xml-cg/2005Jul/0015
> Discussed by WG. Consensus: No further action necessary.

Subsequent clarification indicated "WG" was really "XML CG",
and "No further action necessary" referred to (non-)action
by the XML CG.

Since our agenda item says we were waiting for the CG, and
(after two years) the CG did nothing, it seems clear that
there is no impetus behind this issue (despite the fact that
none of the issues originally raised have been addresses), and
I am permanently dropping this agenda item from our agenda.
