inputmode in XHTML 1.1

I was just reviewing
   http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Group/2006/basicvfull.html
which summarises a number of profiles of XHTML, and it occured to me that  
Basic and Print are intended to be subsets of XHTML 1.1, but now that  
Basic has @inputmode, they no longer are.

Perhaps it would be a good thing to add inputmode to the next edition of  
XHTML 1.1.
