Does it sound possible for a toolbar to work with its [Opera] browser
container to look at the SSL session store - for those SSL sessions bound to
the DOM shown in the foreground tab?

Does Opera expose this kind of [read-only] SSL session state information to
toolbars? Or, perhaps, could it do so, relatively easily, with a suitable
API opening up between toolbar and browser?

The idea is that - rather than wait for years until browser makers debate
altering the main browser frame controls to render which client certs are in
effect for the SSL sessions in DOM trees - that toolbars do this kind of
thing in the meantime - allowing for lots of experimentation.
