RE: SSN-XG Meeting Minutes 21 April 2010

Hi Vincent,

The ontology provides a model for specifying different measurement capabilities including Accuracy and Precision. The detailed definition (and interpretation) of these is left to the developers/users of the ontology. The introduced measurement capabilities are only a sample of possible attributes than can be defined for a senor.

Best wishes,
Payam

Hi all,

Sorry for missing the meeting yesterday.

I have a question regarding the definition of Accuracy and Precision.
Do accuracy and precision used in http://marinemetadata.org/community/teams/ontdevices/devontacc
agrees with the definitions in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accuracy_and_precision?

Best Regards,

Vincent
