seems to be an externally attractive but internally messy Facebook
social graph visualization too, now abandoned but opensource (apache
license).

It would be great to have something like this that could be attached
to other data sources too (eg. identi.ca / FOAF, which now includes
groups data, I tihnk thanks to Toby ---eg see
