QR codes as sources of context?

Kaywa, a small company which has focused heavily on 2D (QR) barcode
technologies/applications for 5 years [1], is going to apply its
technologies to mobile social networking. The previous application by Kaywa
put QR codes on mobile blogs so not terribly far from blogging topics.

Relevance to the SWXG Context TF?

A 2D barcode might be a way to add context to a user post, or just to
quickly (explicitly) make a status post with only a cameraphone and 2D
barcode reader (avoids the user having to type in text for repeated
contexts).

Kind of like having context as bookmarks (are there an infinite number of
contexts or some most common ones?). For example, when a user arrives at the
office (in a building where GPS is not the best solution for giving user
location), user "reads" the location and associated activity
(context1code=I'm in office but in a meeting, context2code= I'm in office
not in a meeting) using a 2D barcode which is then sent to the user's
profile and the status/context is reflected in the social network. It's not
the conventional way to use a barcode.
