Social Net / Webmail Convergence

I beleive we're seeing some evidence of this, with many of the big
webmail providers starting to look like social nets, and now myspace
seems to be continuing the trend in reverse.

One interesting thing about this is the myspace using the vanity URL
pattern to map to an email:

myspace.com/foo ->  foo@myspace.com (after activation)

This pattern seems to make a lot of sense.
