Haupert (JH) Regrets: - Chair: AK Scribe: AK ## Contents * AK: Event planning CeBIT 2012 + In the last telco (2011-12-02), attendees asked for a confirmation of the event's detail structure until the end of January 2012. Currently, no workshop or open discussion is planned for CeBIT 2012. + In discussion is a talk by Dr. Jeffrey Jaffe concerning Open Web with OMM reference. * SH: DPM results in RAN (RFID-based Automotive Network, [1]) + Focus on supply chain management for car manufacturing. + The basic approach relies on labeling parts of a car with EPC or ISO tags. + The project explores practical issues of establishing a common understanding among business partners concerning digital data linked to physical artifacts. + One use case relies on data storage on tags (beyond identifiers). + The project members have (positively) assessed the SemProM Format for that purpose; however, no final decision has been made yet. + Concerning id-based approaches: So far, a unified data representation within backend systems has not been planned for the envisioned setting; however, EPCIS is considered for such networking. * JH: OMM Tools + Seeks to support the adoption of OMM by facilitating deployment. + Starting point is the OMM Format. + Work in progress addresses: - STORAGE: Object Memory Server with access management (rights, optimization), revision control, query processing, association of active components with OMs (e.g., filter modules, embedded scripts). - OUTPUT: Embedding OMM in HTML (RDFa/Microdata); complementary software clients, also for mobile devices. - INPUT: In discussion - how to facilitate the linking of existing infrastructure, role of semantic models within OMM (e.g. embedding ontolgies vs. using extended OMM structure block). * Next conference call + Fr, February 17, 2012 --- [1] http://www.autoran.de/
