Satoru,

Thanks for this contribution. The format you define here is one of  
the text formats supported by the update to 6709 (it is presently an  
ISO committee draft). In other words, it will continue to be  
consistent with 6709 and is probably supported by various software  
components. It will not work for other geographic coordinate types  
now defined in 6709.

We will need to consider whether the compactness and precise syntax  
of your contribution  is worth having a separate format for WGS84  
Geographic point coordinates versus other geometries and coordinate  
reference systems.
