Apologies for my late reply to this request.
I hope I am replying to the correct question but please correct me if I am wrong.

With Internal and External representations (often termed emotion vs affect but not a term I am fond of) these are very important for a number of requirements not just type 3. Using Marcs concept it is the difference between how an observer might judge a human or machines emotional behavior vs how the system generating (human or machine) the behvior might report its own state.

As such very necessary.

Am I responding to the right point here?
