The 'crisis mapping' exercise looks interesting

http://crisismapping.ning.com

I wonder, how can we map crises without mapping crises vocabularies?
No amount of technology, open source, nor anything else can accomplish such
mission, without some level of common language, or vocabulary mappings

Hence I set up the remote session here:

http://crisismapping.ning.com/group/signupforselforganizedsessionstechfair/forum/topics/online-vocabularies-for-crisis

I wonder if there is anyone 'out there' who may be interested in running a
'all systems' status check in relation to vocabs
or share some slides, or give a remote talk, or do some IRC chat
this is supposed to happen next Friday

please distribute!

thanks
