Hi all,

Last year I started an effort designed to capture various terms, and
list the different definitions and sources. After a few hours and a
little effort I ended up with the following...

This was focused primarily on New Zealand terms, although I did
include a couple of international sources at the time. This included
legislative definitions in New Zealand that I obtained from the
relevant acts.

Is this the sort of direction we are wanting to head down in this
project to identify, for example, different definitions of 'disaster'?

Note, I don't necessarily think we could or would want to build a
global glossary as there are too many definitions out there to manage.

Perhaps the biggest point to note is that many of the terms
definitions are not really standalone, but they are part of the
context of the document/legislative instrument within which they are
used.

Cheers Gavin
