Hi Wu,
thanks for this marked-up version. I have to admit, the thought of
doing an Infoset version of the specs worried me. In other specs (soap,
wsa), I thought they took what was a really simply and easy to read spec
and made it far more complicated than it needed to be - not to mention
much harder for newbies to read. However, your proposal isn't nearly as
scary as I thought it was going to be - so thank you for that :-). I
like that, for the most part, the Infoset stuff is limited to just one
small section. The extra lines of text you sprinkled around (linking each
xml element/attribute to the infoset items) are very non-intrusive and
don't seem to impact the readability of the spec. As long as we can keep
things as simple as you've shown in this proposal I think this is worth
considering.

thanks
-Doug

Doug,

Your observation is roughly right, since we try to use the original text
as much as possible and minimize the changes for a first draft. Here is
the color marked copy with all changes in red color for comparison.

Thanks,

- Wu Chou.

Wu,
its hard to tell what's changed w/o redlines. It appears like the
section that lists the abstract properties (3.1) is the only new stuff -
is that correct?

thanks
-Doug
