SCOPE - With the prevalence of semantic technologies and the emergence
of a networked environment on the Web, which is becoming a focal
center of attention for knowledge sharing and process execution,
software research and practice would need to move towards adaptability
with these emerging technologies. Semantic technologies can play a
major role in enhancing the reusability and extensibility of software
systems, supporting improvements in quality assurance and measurement,
speeding software development through semantic-aware component-based
systems and commercially off the shelf products (COTS), and many other
areas. Software engineering research can hence highly benefit from
semantic techniques. We solicit high-quality contributions with
consolidated and thoroughly evaluated application-oriented research
results or review articles in the area of semantic enabled software.

SUGGESTED TOPICS:

* Visions for semantic-based software development
* Integration of software and Semantic Web languages
* Integration of formal methods and Semantic Web languages
* Software specification and Semantic Web languages

* Component discovery and ontologies
* Feature modeling and ontologies
* Ontology reasoning for software engineering
* Semantic annotations in software engineering
* Semantic Web-based knowledge management for software engineering

* Ontology-driven software architectures
* Semantic technologies in software maintenance tools
* Semantic business process modeling
* Semantic Web and software architectures
