I have realized that the additional proposals, 4 and 5, go beyond the 
scope of the original action item.  

At the time I wrote them, I was trying to optimize the use of "back 
channel"  responses beyond what we had agreed to.


Thus we should only look at proposals 1 thru 3 , as proposed by Mark in  
the original agenda:
