This thread just keeps accidentally entering into the kinds of areas that we try to keep off the WHATWG list, to wit, non-technical arguments, arguments about other groups' specifications, arguments about implementors' plans and motives, details of unresolved security issues, and the like. For the record, other areas that we try to keep off this list include: discussions of the group's policies regarding what can be sent to the list, anything remotely ressembling harassment of any person or group of people, and generally anything that doesn't directly relate to technical changes to a WHATWG specification.
