[whatwg] SQL API + access to tables

I am not an expert on Firebug; it is possible that Firebug should be
redesigned to avoid using this functionality.  It is also possible that
Firebug is inherently browser-specific (that is how I understand the
expression "Safari equivalent"); nothing prevents Firefox from providing
this functionality to Firebug as an extension.

You need the ability to list tables for integration with tools such as
Firebug. Apple is adding table introspection to Safari's equivalent of
Firebug. How should Firebug or some other third-party tool achieve it?
