Mixed Reality Service W3C Community Group

The Mixed Reality Service Community Group is working
"to define an open protocol that provides a mapping between 
  geospatial or virtual coordinates and URIs"

I think a number of the people and orgs working on WebVR 
would also find the work of the MRS group to be of interest
and I join Mark Pesce (the MRS Group moderator)
in encouraging you to join the Group & to contribute
