Just FYI, there was an update from Josh Carpenter on web-vr-discuss@mozilla.org about this decision which has not been communicated to this list. Apparently they have changed their minds, and the initial proposal is now no longer under consideration. We're awaiting more updates from them, but until then it's probably best to hold off on discussing the details of the initial proposal.
