Here's one, but it's pretty complex:
https://play.renewchannel.com/
I think they have the same version on http://renewsolution.com/ too.

Most of my other customers have gone for something far simpler,
thankfully. With in mind to improve the experience everyday, which the
Web does ever so well.

Can't really share customer's sites as they are internal and private.
Think info screen with Web statistics in an office. And of course the
Google Slides based sign mentioned before.

I want to focus on a elegant solution for "real time" control/updating
without manually reloading the page.
Trying to avoid the OS level ssh restart mechanism, but sometimes
there is no avoiding it if say the browser locks up due to memory
exhaustion, which we're trying to fix:
https://github.com/Webconverger/webc/issues/83

This thing I developed relies on polling and iframe which suffers from
the X-frame issues on a lot of Websites:

Demo is here: http://sg.webconverger.com/
You can experiment with our Neon Web signage solution based on
Firefox, downloadable from http://webconverger.com/ using options
like:

    homepage=http://sg.webconverger.com/?mac=MACID
    noblank
    noclean
    chrome=neon
    swarp=0,0

Happy to help in an email off list.

Kind regards,
