I can easily do the trivial mechanical work of converting the IDL pieces 
(what's in the <dt> of the <dl class='idl'>) into the contiguous mode; 
but there is a substantive amount of work needed to reorganize/re-link 
the prose currently in the <dd>s, for which I would rather not commit.
