html5devconf notes

Hi, Eliot:

As I mentioned, I was surprised at how successful & eventful htmldevconf was for us, and was planning on knocking out some individual emails after I caught up on outstanding work items. But since you asked: here's my summary. (I'm sure Doug has more/different things to share.)

First of all we shared the W3C booth with Test the Web Forward. Doug was at the booth a lot, along with his W3C volunteer Dorrit Geshuri. This was our first booth and, thanks to the expertise of Rebecca Hauck & Larry McLister of Test the Web Forward, we knocked it out of the ballpark! We gave away most of the swag I had left. Peter Lubbers suggested a workflow for gathering more swag moving forward that we should pass by y'all and add to the Sprint-in-a-Box.

We also talked with O'Reilly folks about having a Doc Sprint on 3/11 during the Fluent Conference. Logistical questions came up that also led to some ideas of small edits to the Sprint-in-a-Box.

And we met with Jen Simmons, who is coming to us via another generous contractor donation from Google. She'll be helping us improve key UX.

I also found out that you and Doug were planning some meetings with stewards at TPAC, and want to hear more about those.

If we do meet tomorrow, we can all give updates at the meeting. Otherwise, look for more emails about the Fluent Doc Sprint, Jen's work with us, and process suggestions, coming soon!

Regards!
