I think the existing blurb is nice and inspirational, but perhaps below it we
could add something like

Using Webplatform.org, you can:

* Learn how to use open web technologies using our tutorials
* Look up data about open web technologies using our reference docs
* Contribute to docs and tutorials (see our [WPD:Getting_Started|Getting
started] guide)
* Discuss open web technology documentation using our
[[http://talk.webplatform.org/forums/ Q&A]] and
[[http://talk.webplatform.org/chat/ Chat]]
