W3C Web Payments Activity Update & tentative first meeting

Dear All,
I would like to give you an update on the W3C Web Payments activity.
We are launching tomorrow the review of the charter by the W3C
membership. therefore, if you are a member and not the official
representative of your organization at W3C, I recommend you talk to your
representative so that he reviews with your help the charter.
The review will take four weeks, and if everything works well, we are
hoping to announce the group october 16. This is obviously subject to
review comments and objections by W3C membership.

Then in order to speed the process, we are also tentatively planning the
first meeting of the group during the W3C annual technical plenary.
If the group is approved and announced on October 16, then we are
planning to host the first meeting 27/28 October in Santa-Clara,
California. see http://www.w3.org/2014/11/TPAC/
Note that this meeting will be open to W3C members only and appointed
Invited Experts. I've a couple of applications for Invited experts that
I hope to be able to manage by that time.
Here again, note that this is a tentative schedule that may be changed
if the W3C member review requires further work.

If you have any question, don't hesitate to use these mailing-lists or
contact me personnally.

Best
