Comments on the Web Payments IG Charter

All,

Manu Sporny, whom I've worked with on other web standards, invited me to
comment on the charter as outlined in this document:
http://www.w3.org/2014/04/payments/webpayments_charter.html

I am offering my comments from the standpoint of a potential individual
user of the work you intend to do. This email is not reflective of any
opinions of my employer:

In my view, the charter appears sensible considering the scope of the
project you intend to take on and the various interests you'll need to
balance over its course.

One topic you may want to consider (and perhaps you already did) is the
aspect of payment privacy. I believe it may be worth highlighting how
(if?) your work plans to address the inherent loss in privacy into account
as payments move away from cash to any kind of logged transaction.

Best wishes for your work!

Regards,
