Google integrates JSON-LD into Gmail

Great news! Google just announced that it has integrated JSON-LD into Gmail:

https://developers.google.com/gmail/schemas/embedding-schemas-in-emails

For those of you that are no familiar with JSON-LD's history, it started
in this group as a way of encoding product and financial data for the
PaySwarm specs. It grew into a general purpose data exchange format and
is currently being standardized in the RDF Working Group at W3C.
Google's adoption of the technology before it is released as a finalized
standard is a huge win for the technology.

So, great work to everyone involved in getting JSON-LD out there. This
is also a pretty strong signal that we're working on practical
technology that will be adopted by the big technology players once it
reaches a certain stage of maturity.

JSON-LD today... Web Keys, HTTP Signatures, Browser Payments, and
PaySwarm are next. :)
