Web Payments Beta launched at W3C

Hey folks,

There are a number of you that are bcc'ed on this e-mail. The Web
Payments work at W3C has just been opened up to a select group of
individuals. If you are seeing this e-mail, you are one of these select
individuals.

We will operate for the next month in stealth mode as the W3C staff work
out the kinks in the new system. REPEAT: Do not forward the invitation
to anyone else unless you are positive that they will be discreet and
stay quiet about the launch. Everything is live, but is not ready for
public consumption yet.

We need your help in testing out the new Community Group software at
W3C. It's free to join and participate. This is a new initiative by the
W3C to ensure that communities have a place to work on things that are
highly experimental or in the pre-standardization phase. There is much
more about this new initiative here:

The WebPayments beta group is now up and running. It would be great if
each of you could sign up as soon as possible:

Make sure to subscribe to the mailing list if you join the group:

Again, there is no fee to participate. If you are interested in
universal payment on the Web, you should consider joining. If you
haven't seen anything about PaySwarm yet, the site was updated a little
while ago and may contain some new information that you haven't seen yet:
