RE: [external_reviews] Status of discussions with various orgs in Europe?

Hello Ian,

The Dutch Payments Association is doing work on variants of the iDEAL protocol for e-commerce.
I have had a chat with them on the scope of the work of W3C WPIG.

At this point in time the Betaalvereniging expects the WPIG work to be relevant for their standards at a later point in time.
They are currently not reviewing use cases and architecture, but we could revisit that when the WPIG has published its first drafts.

With kind regards,

Evert

Onderwerp: [external_reviews] Status of discussions with various orgs in Europe?

Hi all,

Based on a conversation I had today I would like to ask the group if we have conversations ongoing with these organizations. I have some questions inline and welcome comments on the relation of the work of these orgs to our work.

Thanks!

* Dutch payments association.
  Are they in the process of developing new NL-specific payments standards? Can we chat with them and align that work with ours?
  http://www.betaalvereniging.nl/en/

* EU Payments council
  Work has apparently started on v2 of the Payment Services Directive. Is that the case and are we chatting them about our work?

* Banking Industry Architecture Network.

* European Banking Authority

Please forgive my ignorance on our current discussions, if any, with these orgs!

Ian
