Fwd: The Extended Web Community Group Launched

I don't know the supporters and their requirements but FWIW my take on this topic has
progressed pretty well since the inception of this CG. if all goes according to plan
it should be a worthy "challenger" to the Hardware-based Security WG mentioned in:
http://w3c.github.io/webpayments-ig/latest/roadmap/index.html

The concept is more related to XHR than to cryptography and security but that's actually
an advantage because XHR is one of the most successful W3C standards ever for the simple
reason that it is *not* targeting specific applications.

thanx,
Anders

With your support, the The Extended Web Community Group has been launched:
   http://www.w3.org/community/extended-web/

This group was originally proposed on 2015-04-19
by Anders Rundgren. The following people supported its
creation:
       Anders Rundgren
       Bryan Sullivan
       Lewis Cowper
       Adam Love
       Gemma Smith

To join the group, please use:
  http://www.w3.org/community/extended-web/join

Please note that supporting a group is different from joining
a group. Supporters must also enroll if they wish to participate.

The CG would deal with extensions allowing web-pages to communicate with
local software as well as with devices connected with NFC/BLE.
