Welcome to Web Payments - some administrivia on our F2F in Santa Clara

Hello Web Payments IG participants and friends:

First of all, on behalf of my fellow co-chair, Erik Anderson of Bloomberg, I'd like to welcome you to this important work. We are all anxious to get started, and we have a few things to do before the meeting.

First of all, there is a reading list[1] for items on the IG Wiki. It will be wonderful if you have some familiarity with these items, since they give some idea of the "state of the art" in payment standardization.

Also, we have quite a few people signed up requesting to observe. Unfortunately we may not be able to accommodate everyone, at least simultaneously. We are working on a strategy to handle some kind of arbitration that is fair. That said, thanks for the compliment of wanting to observe. If you wish you can send an email to the chairs via this public list and let us know the topic you're interested in (i.e. what time - please see the agenda[2]).

In any case we're looking forward to seeing many of you at TPAC.

On behalf of the Chairs of the IG,
David Ezell - NACS
