WebML CG Teleconference – 10 January 2019 - 14:30-15:00 UTC+0

Hi,

We'll start 2019 in this group with our monthly 30-minute teleconference to keep us synchronized.

Below are the logistics and agenda for the WebML CG teleconference. Also online at:
https://github.com/webmachinelearning/meetings/blob/master/telcons/2019-01-10-agenda.md

[My apologies the Earth is still round and thus the time may not be perfect for everyone. Special thanks to all the early birds and night owls who attended our previous call from both US West Coast and East Asia.]

    * a) Incubate both the operator and load model approaches in parallel
    * b) Focus on the operator approach and develop the load model approach as a polyfill initially
    * c) New HTML element similar to <video>
    * d) Others?

* Web Neural Network API https://webmachinelearning.github.io/webnn/

  * Use cases landed, next: derive requirements to measure API against
  * Call for editors

A note on tools

We'll use W3C's Webex instance for web conferencing and IRC for scribing during the meeting. If you're not familiar with these tools, I encourage you to visit the following resources ahead the meeting:

https://www.w3.org/2006/tools/wiki/WebExBestPractices

https://www.w3.org/2006/tools/wiki/InstallingWebEx

https://www.w3.org/wiki/IRC

The "call-in details" link above has the Webex meeting link, number and password you'll need to get connected.

Looking forward to another productive meeting. We completed the use cases phase by the end of 2018, and our first task of 2019 as a group is to reach consensus on the API abstraction level.

Thanks,

-Anssi (WebML CG chair)
