All we need to do is make it possible for resources that can be accessed by WebId to return some error messages if things do not work out, and a success if they do. We could then automate testing of implementations. This was detailed here: http://www.w3.org/2005/Incubator/webid/wiki/Test_Suite Not only would that make things less subjective it would make it easier for people to add their implementations to the system.
