Telcon minutes, Wed. June 26th

Hello all,

We had a very interesting and productive discussion today with Jonathan Kew, David Kuettel, Adam Twardoch and I.
A few important takeaways:

-          It became clear that the discussion topics we would like to cover at the F2F meetings deserve a lot of attention and would warrant a full day meeting;

-          We have interesting proposals from Adam, something that needs further discussion, more font developers and font tool vendors involved, and most likely require an update to WG charter;

- LZMA development would benefit from additional experts being involved - both for spec development and for CTS.

   area code?

   <kuettel> I was able to join (I think)

   <kuettel> Yes, that's me (404 area code)

   I think you did, did you dial the regular line or SIP?

   <kuettel> Regular line

   David: reached out to Igor Pavlov to have him help us with LZMA
   spec, working with Google security team

   jfk: working with Mozilla security team to evaluate the LZMA
   decoder

   Adam: speaking about his OFF/X proposal

   jfk: talking about the need to validate a font on a browser
   side, regardless of the claims made by an author

   Currently the proposal is viewed more like a basis for "best
   practices guidelines" for font developers
