New member - got an account but I can't login

Hey there,
since I would like to contribute to the "web standards curriculum" by
translating it to italian,
I created an account. The thing is that it is not working, I got a "wrong
username / password combination" error message.
Could you investigate and solve this issue. I'd appreciate it alot ;)
