Introduction: Doug Schepers

Hi, folks-

I'm Doug Schepers. I work for W3C as a project coordinator ("Staff
Contact") for the SVG, WebApps, Touch Events, and Audio Working Groups.
This year, I expanded my role into W3C developer outreach, working on
the Community Groups project, and I helped form the Web Education CG.

I also helped start the Open Web Education Alliance (OWEA) Incubator
Group at W3C, and was an active participant. I strongly support the
goal of improving the state of Web development and design through
educating folks in best practices and cutting edge technologies, and in
helping traditional educators learn and teach open web standards.

I'm especially interested in SVG and in APIs, and I intend to write some
documentation there.

I live and work in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA.

If anyone has any questions about W3C, our goals for Wed education, or
such, feel free to contact me. I look forward to working with all of you!

Regards-
