RE: [W3C Web Crypto WG] suggested resolution for bug 26080 on removing non-NIST algo

Dear all,

Here is a proposed resolution for the bug 26080 on removing non-NIST algo https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=26080
As mentioned in the thread [1], part of this bug will be resolved by other bugs (aka warning developers and including new algorithms such as curve25519), but part of it will not (aka removing some of the listed algorithms).

Suggested resolution :

The bug is closed as WONTFIX.

One should note that bug reviewer, Greg Slepak, agreed to go for that resolution [2].

This resolution will be submitted to WG participants vote during our call next Monday as announced over the mailing list [3]

Regards,

Virginie
