this is my personal opinion for certificate issue
just listing my topics

- certificate lifecycle management (issue/revoke/renew ...)
- exception of same origin policy for certificate
- connectivity to secure elements (smartcards, TPM...)
- certificate extensions
- certificate validation with CRL/CRLDP/OCSP
