Heh, we actually started this working group four years ago specifically 
with that goal in mind (standardize something like XAML or XUL)! Most of 
us quickly threw that idea in the bin when we saw how awesome HTML5 and 
XBL2 were (and a few other reasons, we won't go into here):)
