But the spec. you are commenting on is only for communication with the local file store, for use in conjunction with other parts of the web platform (e.g. XHR2). I think network downloads and other things are legitimate work items for the future in this WG, perhaps as further refinements to XHR2. Will Google propose them? -- A*
